Getting to Know Me
I’m pretty sure that most people would say that Mrs. Mitchell is an “open” book and fairly easy to read! I try really hard to walk my own talk AND for those that have not been in my class, boy can I ever talk! LOL
In all seriousness, I am part of Team Humanities and responsible for delivering the Grade 9 and 12 Social Studies content. When it comes to English Language Arts, we take the “it takes a village approach” to teaching. This is where Team Humanities unites and we share the responsibility to create and maintain a solid English Language Arts program.
I also have the unique position of leading the Nutrition Program which is generously sponsored by a grant from the Alberta Government. The program’s mandate is to offer a nutritious, balanced meal to each student every day of the school year. I guess you could say I am partially responsible for feeding the village that we care for! I hope your child will partake and feel the same enjoyment I feel in providing a healthy meal for them.
Lastly, I am excited for all the possibilities that a brand-new school year brings. All of my four children have attended St. Francis. In fact, my youngest is in his final year in Grade Twelve this year and is looking forward to being part of the Graduating Class of 2024!
If you ever have any questions or need to reach out to me, I am only a phone call, or e-mail chat away!
